Manage and Delete Your Data

You are always in control of the Google Ads accounts connected to AdCortex. This page explains how to stop using AdCortex, disconnect your accounts so AdCortex no longer has access to them, and delete the Google Ads data AdCortex has stored for you.

Last updated: September 11, 2026 Contact: nicolas@mindfulconversion.com

Who this is for

Anyone whose Google Ads accounts are connected to AdCortex — whether you connected them yourself or an agency connected them on your behalf. If you want AdCortex to stop managing your campaigns, stop accessing your accounts, and remove the data it holds, there are two ways to do it. Either one is enough; you do not need to do both.

Option 1 — Do it yourself in Settings (immediate)

Workspace administrators can disconnect and delete without contacting us:

  1. Sign in to AdCortex and open Settings from the sidebar (the page is titled Admin Settings).
  2. Scroll to Disconnect & delete Google Ads data.
  3. Type your manager account (MCC) ID to confirm, then click the button.

AdCortex stops syncing your accounts the moment you confirm, and deletion of the stored data begins right away. The page shows progress and tells you when it is complete — usually within a few minutes.

If you only want to disconnect without deleting stored data (for example, to re-authorize later and keep your history), use Disconnect on the Connect Google Ads page instead.

Option 2 — Email us (within 3 business days)

Send a request to nicolas@mindfulconversion.com from an email address associated with your account. Include the Google Ads customer ID(s) or manager account (MCC) ID you want disconnected. We will disconnect your accounts and delete the stored Google Ads data within 3 business days of receiving your request, and confirm by reply when it is done.

Use this option if you are not a workspace administrator, if an agency connected your account and you no longer work with them, or if you simply prefer that we handle it.

What happens when you opt out

  • Syncing stops. AdCortex no longer reads from your Google Ads accounts. No scheduled data pull, report, alert, or AI feature runs against them.
  • Access is removed. The authorization your workspace granted AdCortex is discarded, so AdCortex cannot view or change your campaigns. You regain exclusive control of your Google Ads accounts.
  • Stored data is deleted. The Google Ads performance and account data AdCortex downloaded for your accounts is deleted from our storage.
  • Nothing changes inside Google Ads. Opting out never pauses, edits, or removes anything in your Google Ads account. Your campaigns keep running exactly as they were.
  • You can come back. Reconnecting later starts fresh: AdCortex imports your history again from Google Ads.

Also revoke AdCortex on Google's side

Disconnecting in AdCortex discards the authorization we hold. For complete certainty you can also remove AdCortex from your Google Account directly: open your Google Account permissions page, find AdCortex under third-party apps, and choose Remove access. This takes effect immediately and works even if you can no longer sign in to AdCortex.

Managing your data without leaving

You do not have to opt out entirely to limit what AdCortex touches:

  • Choose which accounts AdCortex uses — In Settings → Connected Accounts, switch off any account under your manager account. Disabled accounts are skipped by data syncing and hidden from every report.
  • Control email — In Email Reports, choose recipients and switch the daily monitoring digest off per account.
  • Use your own AI key — Workspaces can supply their own OpenAI API key so AI features run under their own agreement.
